It took me a while to find the right pattern for a hat, but I am glad I picked this one. I needed a hat would look nice and feminine and go with everything I had. So I picked the grey yarn that matched everything and the pattern was pretty. I wanted a warm hat too, so I doubled up on the yarn.
The How
The bottom of the hat has ribbing, followed by stockinette stitch and cables. The top decreases stitches in a spiral. I have been wearing this hat for a while now and it’s awesome, but I am starting to wish I wasn’t so liberal with the ribbing. I was afraid of making it too tight, so now it’s really loose and starts slipping off if I wear it the whole day or if it’s windy. It’s not bad, but I wish it had more hold. Maybe I will make another soon.
