These booties were awesome and J didn’t start wearing shoes until he was crawling because of them. He wore them on top of socks when we went to the doctor, inside his warm body suit when we went on walks, and to stay warm at home.
The How
Another one of the only projects I ever made following a pattern, this used short rows for the toes and stockinette stitch all the way up to the ribbing on the leg. There are also eyelets right before the ribbing starts for the laces to go through, which I crocheted, but can also be made by knitting an I cord.
